求助：as表并列，谓语什么时候可以省略？

如I am as old as you are,是不是are一定不能省略？
I am older than you are是不是 are也不能省略？
还有一道题目：Salt deposits and moisture threaten to destroy the Mohenlo-Daro excavation in Pakistan , the site of an ancient civilization that flourished at the same time as the civilizations in the Nile delta and the river valleys of the Tigris and Euphrates(did).这里要这个did吗？答案里面没有，是省略了吗？求大神解答，不胜感激！
