这边的 a greater proportion than in any previous election.为什么不写成 than that in any previous election 或者 than is in any previous election ? 毕竟比较对象是proportion，
记得有一题说XX at higher speeds than currently possible 是错的，要改成 than those currently possible，或者 than are currently possible. 因为比较对象是speeds。

混乱中 求大神赐教！！

建议去看看论坛里面的那个比较的帖子，会有不少收获的。

这里比较的是在 in the presidential campaign of 1992 和  in any previous election 之间的 proportion。
两个都是介词短语，直接比较既可以。

至于“记得有一题说XX at higher speeds than currently possible 是错的，要改成 than those currently possible，或者 than are currently possible. 因为比较对象是speeds。”

我猜测是主句没有和currently对应的时间副词，所以than currently是不行的。
