Scientists believe they have discovered the wreck of the USS Harvard, sunk by Japanese torpedoes during World War II. 可是我认为D还是没有明确削弱历史学家的观点呀，因为D选项说sonar 仅仅可以识别shape 和 dimension的东东，可是这也不能保证找到的东东就是Harvard 呀？

要反驳historians的观点，就要从其“理由”入手。文中告诉的是on the basis that sophisticated sonar（声波） ...
D选项正好指出历史学家根据声波探测的问题所在！
