我的疑惑是关于cd两个选项的them的指代问题。
答案说cd的them指代tourists，而e的them指代chamber。
个人看着非常纠结不知道是怎么看出来的(T ^ T)
求大神指导〜或者丢个以前关于这道题的讨论帖给我也行〜〜〜

如果优先指代主语核心词，那E选项，because moisture exhaled by tourists had raised...核心词就是moisture，也就是说them指代的是moisture咯？但OG解释是指代chambers。所以这个核心词到底是主句的核心词，还是从句的核心词呢？？

恰恰相反，用because +从句 往往比due to+ noun简洁

because moisture exhaled by tourists had raised the humidity within them to such levels that... 金字塔关闭是因为  游客呼出的湿气把湿度升高  这整件事情，句子很顺

而due to moisture exhaled by tourists, which raised its humidity to such levels so that salt from the stone was crystallizing，把修饰语都去掉抓主干，变成了due to moisture，金字塔关闭是因为湿气，意思不合理；然后再看修饰语，又是exhaled，又是which，句子之间的层次混乱，不如because+从句那么通顺简洁明了   due to的重心永远只有to后面的名词

大神麻烦问下prep笔记里提到过说them指代离它近的那个复数，否则会有指代不清的问题。我指代部分特别疑惑，求讲解。谢谢！

掌握一点就不会错了。代词指代顺序。 优先指代主语核心词。C选项becuase tourists were exhaling moisture,which had rased the humidility within them to levels such that slat from the stone would crystallize. tourists是主语。所以them指代tourists。你自己看一下其他选项的主语。再看一下指代词就很明显了。其实OG13 SC第七题也是一样的道理关于那个it和they。看样子第七题你都没弄懂。

同意上面的观点。不过有个小小的疑问，撇开句子结构不谈，此处的due to和because在用法上有什么偏好吗？仅仅就划线的前半部分而言，用due to是不是比because+clause的结构更简洁（假设句子结构都对的情况下）？
