我想问如果C改成his translation of theIliad, a work that took him seven years to complete and that literary critic Samuel Johnson, Pope’s contemporary, pronounced it as的话对不对呢（其实就是把B选项最后加一个It as）
我对这个加不加It as很头疼啊~~OG解释没怎么看明白，且总感觉加了it is后读着特别顺~~~

这道题其实是考parallelism和idiom。 中间的and连接两个以that开头的从句。相当于把a work that took him seven years until completion和a work that literary critic Samuel Johnson, Pope’s contemporary, pronounced the greatest translation in any language连起来了。这样拆卡来看就很清楚的看到第二句中的that其实是pronounce的宾语，work是that的先行词。而由于pronounce的用法是pronounce sth （as）sth，类似于consider的用法，B的选项相当于是写成 literary critic Samuel Johnson, Pope’s contemporary, pronounced the workthe greatest translation in any language所以选择B，把C选项按你的方法修改后也不对因为根本语法错了，多了一个it作宾语~读起来变扭但是改过来看是对的~

个人观点是，可以加变成pronounce....as...,但是wordy，没有直接使用pronounce N更加简练，应该是属于concision层面的。。。。。。
