18楼是Absolute Phrases ，所以答案就是在d和e中， 兄弟 你纠结于形式了。用了，and的话 ，除非并列的就是动词announce的宾语，那么就是Absolute Phrases。d肯定是对的 只是我觉得e也对 ，自己在check把。anyway谢谢你

D 中it 指代 a synthetic growthhormone。生合成的生长激素。但是合成的生长激素不可能从人类
体内获得啊···so 只有从C/E中选。但是E中learning的逻辑主语错误 所以只有C了

除了这个之外，before learning..,scientists...中scientists必须是learning的主语，即发出remove和learn动作的scientists必须是同一scientists，这显然不符合逻辑，所以即使D选项改成了before learning how to synthesize growth hormone, scientists...也没有C选项合理~~

另外提供俺今日看manhattan關於active voice和passive voice自己總結的看法：當作者強調的是動作的執行者的時候，主動表達preferable；當作者強調的是某個動作，同時企圖弱化動作的執行者時，被動表達preferable。

（1）讀完句子，確定大概意思為“在scientists瞭解如何人工合成hormone之前，他們必須從XX中remove hormone”。
（2）句子的意思強調的是從XX中remove的這個動作，而不是remove這個動作的執行者，因而偏向于利用passive voice來強調remove這個行為。因而俺選C。

純粹看manhattan examples的總結哈...木有權威證明...

我没有说zhao的解释是错的，相反我非常同意，但是我说的是另一个split。。。建议你看一下ron的解释吧。。。。
ps:GMAT中的大忌就是因为具体的形式就排除选项，也许暂时你会做的很顺，但总有碰壁的时候，而且你要bless不要在考试的时候碰壁~

那你的意思是选哪个呢
关于doubling，因为double本身就有形容词的含义在，所以无需ing来修饰。当然double也是可以做动词，但是doubling就是多此一举了。
语，即发出remove和learn动作的scientists必须是同一scientists，这显然不符合逻辑？为什么一个科学家就不符合逻辑呢？ 我觉得zhao此题说的很清楚

fossils of some of the biggest armored dinosaurs对应 fossils of any similar dinosaur type，用fossils对应dinosaur是不对的。。。。

a，doubling这种形式看到就排除把 ，b你说的对，d可数所以是many，这些都是基于是不是数字，如果前面是数字 所以第一反应就是e了

这里doubling错的原因不是这个形式问题。。。doubling后面跟的是those，这里的those指代什么？只能指代young adults,但是survey里报导的不可能是人啊，只能是数字。。。
