1、个人觉得A选项很完美啊，请问错在哪里？
2、B选项were it to do so结构我明白是虚拟，但是，我觉得it和so的指代都不清晰，有没有人解释一下呢？
3、C错误是否是因为缺少be动词，or else的else存在很多余

so adj that is used to the emphasize the degree of adj

you choose A because you do not crackdown what the sentence is trying to convey

so... so that is bound to be wrong in all circumstances

B is the best，so..., so..., that，前面两个so平行
C和D，第2个be动词和第一个单复数不一样,不能省略，需要补全

因为 were it to do so 是指前面说过的动作，所以 do 够清楚，所以那个 it 跟着也清楚了，一看就知道是 polar ice。
