1个人练，没什么人改。觉得很苦恼，先上昨天写的TPO21综合：The reading passage exploresthe issue of the possible improvements brought by the genetic modification ofthe traditional trees. While admitting some benefits brought by this change,the professor points out some unexpected disadvantages which contradicts whatthe reading states.

Firstly, the genetically modified trees may notalways possess more survival chances【后面加一个readingmaterial 的观点，比较好？】. According to the speaker, the unification of gene, bring by themodification, may result in the wiped of a whole spice, if the spice faced withthe environmental challenges to which it has not been designed to resist. Onthe contrary, with the genetic diversify, the nature spices could beardifferent damages, brought by various conditions and pests. Thus the point made by speaker contradicts thatestablished in passage.


Secondly, the professor refutes the assuming in reading material that growingthe genetically modification could be economic beneficial. Because there areseveral hidden charges, like the company,sell the seeds of modified trees, may charge more than those of natural trees.Besides, according to laws, the peasants couldn’t simply collect the seeds of modifiedtrees for further cultivation. On the contrary, they should pay moneyto the company every time they grow the new kinds of trees. And these factors may result in lesseconomic beneficial, even more expensive, to who plants this kind of trees, which is just theopposite of what the passage indicates.

Finally, the professor asserts that the geneticmodification may possess potential threatens to non-genetically modified trees, instead of saving them, which argues in thereading material. Because themodified trees may grow aggressively, they could take up all the resources suchas fertilizer, water and sunlight and eventually crowed out the natural wildtrees. Thus the original purpose to save endangered trees is unpromising.
