说正确答案E选项是把do省略了因为不会引起歧义。但个人认为省略了会变成宾语比较，所以个人对此题的理解是those指代vehicles,burning做非谓语动词和powered平行(前面被动后面主动）这样E选项就是最合适平行的选项。vehicles powered by natural gas emit less of certain pollutants than vehicles burning gasoline or diesel fuel.
