15题是不是说，the first clause is a negative point.so if we use the "also",the second clause must be negative point.

15题中的结构应该是是not...but，而E选项中则错误地写成了not...but also，是个“混搭”错误。

这个结构错误的原因，我想，应该是but also连用时，逻辑上表达的是递进的意思，那么前后的两个clause应该说的至少是一个方向的观点，而不能是方向恰好相反的两个观点。

此时，我又想到了not only...，but also...的结构，这个结构同样，是要求平行的，平列的两部分在逻辑上是递进的意思，而且这个结构不可以用于否定句中。

就是这样吧~~

按照我原本的想法，我理解这道题里的破折号后面的部分就是对the genetic homogeneity evident in the world's people is the result of a "population bottleneck"这句话的解释,可是既然答案是B，那么就应该是对于population bottleneck的解释，是一个同位语从句了。这点是我错了。
这道题真的颠覆了我以前对破折号的理解。

至于A的解释，我也不是很理解。

没有，这句话中的that从句作believe的宾语，是解释前面部分 ，重述也算把它解释了一番吧！
OG的解释是这么说的

1·破折号在GMAT语法中主要有两个功能：a转折 b解释说明：
a转折：作用相当于but，出现时可能会是这种场景：“...—...   .”，破折号后面内容是完整句子，这种用法不是很多；
b解释说明：用于解释说明的内容的可以是名词，也可以是句子，解释的内容前是破格号，后面可以是破折号或逗号，起到的都是分隔的作用，这种用法最常见。比如在这道题中就是解释说明的作用，解释说明了人类学家所坚信的那一观点的原因，最后因为是句子结尾了，所以就是句号了；

当然，明白这些功能后，对破折号的处理可能就得心应手很多了。处理时，首先要弄明白破折号展示的是哪一种功能，然后处理起来就会很有针对性了。破折号在内容上，或者在逻辑意思上很简单明白，其他的可能就是对句子结构的要求了“破折号+破折号”和“破折号+逗号”可以将破折号引导的东西分隔起来，内部的内容可以是名词结构也可以是句子，另外需要注意的是避免出现run-on句型。（一般破折号后面是句子来解释说明的时候，后面也会是破折号或句尾。）

2·我们应该都很熟悉要求平行的结构，识别出这样的结构是处理平行的前提；
对于and的平行，我建议从两方面来考虑：a先结构方：从and开始向前找可以在语法上平行的结构，有时唯一，有时不唯一 b在语义：从找到的可以在语法上平行的结构中，根据语义进一步筛选；

这样应该就万无一失了。一般做题时，a容易做到，b就要求对语义很好的理解了。

另外我感觉此处有一个技巧就是，要从and向前寻找，考察平行。（当然有时也向后。）

开始没有了解句子意思以为是对于population bottleneck的解释。那么可以说，破折号后面的内容既可以是对前面句子的解释，也可以是对词的解释？--------一直以为只能对词进行解释
OG的解释，不太明白.对于A项，The structure makes that clause appear to be an awkward and rhetorically puzzling separate assertion that the writer has appended to the prior claim about what the anthropologists.------------神马意思？
对于破折号，也就说根据句子意思判断破折号的功能，再选择符合语法的结构的选项！-----------我找几道练练！
