20.D选项的解读
1.doubling没有错误，但让句子结构更加复杂，不符合GMAT的clear precise的原则
   2.of personal spending...的结构不能清晰的说明expectations，在这里，要说明的是expections是任命心中想的一件事，一个事实i，一个时间发生的全部过程，而不是personal spending。试想，仅仅是personal spending， 你知道人们的expectations是啥。这样的思维再GMAT中考的很多。
   3.that of the 1.4% growth rate in personal spending 结构的解读：这里的that指的是谁，我想了好久，觉得每一个是可以指代的，个人觉得这个是多余的。

they指什么？不清楚。中心词是the forming。

关于doubling，prep笔记上有这样的描述：
2、用动词表达倍数：
double/triple/quadruple/quintuple/sextuple  ----》这些动词可以做形容词(double还能做adv, predeterminer)
sth. double sth.;        sth. is doubled;       sth. double(adj.);
几个永远错误的形式：
(1)produce double； a doubling of;   produce a doubling
(2)as much as twice the apples(much与apples矛盾)（要改为twice as many apples as; sth. double sth.）
*：这几个动词可以用主动也可以用被动，但是不能和as搭配;（差不多记住这句话就可以）

13`问题出在and的平行上，the forming of bricks是动名词，they are laid是SVO，所以不平行的。
