有两个问题：
1. B究竟错在那儿？B中的单数the cheetah species（species表物种，单数）能不能和复数clones对比？
（我搜到一个帖子说B错是因为单复数不能直接对比？第一次听说这条规律表示严重怀疑！）


2 正确答案E中的两个their分别指代谁？
我排除E答案就是因为认定第一个their指代clones，而第二个their指代members，而一个句子里的代词必须一致，所以歧义就排除掉了

如果E答案their指代相同，指代的是什么？又是如何在正确语法下指代到的？求高人翻译指代明确后的句子意思！

已解决（来自baby姐）：关于代词指代的ambiguity：
1. 做题时需要扫视选项，如果我见到有的选项的代词，在另一些选项里被它指代的名词所取代，那么我就知道这个代词有ambiguity issue. otherwise, do not consider this problem

2. GMAT对于代词指代ambiguity有一定容忍程度，逻辑意思优先

3. 排题时don't apply pronoun ambiguity unless you are backed into a corner！！

居然完全没有看指代，直接找主语一定要是跟clone一致才行。只有E.

我看了下，Manhattan最新版的SC已经去掉这一块了，完全没有"too close"一说。在Pronoun那一部分去掉了"The Antecedent Must Be Unambiguous"整个这一节，变成了新的一节"What about pronoun ambiguity"的两页多的讨论。

被annie re出来，才发现之前这个问题被我忽略了。那个说单复数不能直接对比的说法是不成立的，lz的怀疑也是值得赞赏的~
Like physics and chemistry, biology is a natural science.
这句子没问题，biology和"physics and chemistry"可比，尽管biology单数而"physics and chemistry"复数

B的比较错误，不是语法问题（所谓的“单复数不能比”），而是逻辑问题。
逻辑上，clones和species不可比，clones和members of the species才是可比的。

我就是做题做到不能分辨答案对代词ambiguity的tolerance程度。GWD这道题代词指代根本就不是考点，分辨考点的能力看来也是非常重要的。


总结起来代词指代是以逻辑为优先的，GAMT对于ambiguity的容忍程度超乎想象。除非代词选项有明确的split，不能以代词指代问题作为排题的前最初步骤

Yeah~所以我现在也是像那上面说的，除非代词问题太egregious不能忍，一般不拿代词来排除选项。
这道题，我个人觉得最准确也最快捷的思路，就是：


每当我见到 like A, B___________. 或者 unlike A, B____________. 的时候，我都要确定A和B可比.
那么这道题，A=clones，B必须是members啊。
只要你懂clones这个英文单词，那么毫无疑问，其他选项可以直接排除，只剩下E.
