37. Society should identify those children who have special talents and provide training for them at an early age to develop their talents.
Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the recommendation and explain your reasoning for the position you take. In developing and supporting your position, describe specific circumstances in which adopting the recommendation would or would not be advantageous and explain how these examples shape your position.
Issue:
It is a truth universally aknowledged, that people do well in the fields that they have special talents. However, what the statement shows to us,in some degree, seems unpratical and dismay the facts we accept. When it comes to geniuses, people refer prefer their special talents to their education. While it looks a liitle biased, it can also espire us in some regards.
On one hand, people are easier successful and go further in the fields that they have special talents because of the enjuring inspiration, their keen interst, and distinguished perspective, a fact that is accepted by most people. Talent is something in our mental that always keep us be in a great excitement and never feel tired even if keep doing for long time, something that just is a kind of satisfactory in mental and something that we extremely enjoy anytime, everywhere. For example, Chen Jingrun, a mathematician in China, has great talents in maths, have worked out the famous mathematic difficulties named Goldbach Conjecture. It offer a kind of possibility to trainning children who have talents for success.
Additonally, talents should be developed with some methods. Fang zhongyong, a genius boy in wrting articals in Chinese Song Dynasty, emerge his talents when he was young, but his father use the valents to make fortune for helping others write articles instead of senting him to a school to develop his talents, thus the talents of Fang Zhongyong had died out when he grew older. Thus, a careful treat to this special talents is necessarry and crucial.
However, on the other hand, It is not easy for society to identify all those children who have special talents. Nowadays people just depend on their experience to ragard a boy or a girl whether he/she have special talents. We cannot exactly know whether they are or not, and there are no such mathods that have been studied to do so. Moreover, such education called special education is knowed to us that it can suits for children’s development of heart and mind, however, a kind of education that we cannot ensure whether it does work. That is to say, we cannot regard that scoiety identify the children’s talents as a reliable way, at least until now.
Moreover, genius comes to our mind, we are turn to due the success of the genius to their talents rather than education. Admittedly, education play a important roles in genius-a contrary instance showed as Fangzhongyong above, people , may think that talent are the vital factor to a peoson who is called genius. After all, if genius mere is specially educated without talents, a lot of genius will exist in the world. Even the special education may prevent the children’s development in that undue pressure is imposed to children and undue intense competetition among peers who are indeed good at something when they are young. So special sducation may go in the opposite way, a natural education may work better because it is based on the development of education hundreds of years.
To sum up, a person who so-called has the special talents may achieve the peak of the hills in their fields, however, a natural sducation may suit better. |
