看了之前NN们的讨论帖，得出结论这里B选项 a ratio that compares to 42 times 不对的原因是，这个42times没有表明是什么times（A 也是），而C表达就很清楚。

那么我想问 ，下面这一题的C选项，compared with about 35% decade ago.就很明确么？不是跟上面这个是同样的问题么？ 35% 什么呢？不清楚呀~

既然A的问题比较明确，我说一下自己对BC的看法。

首先，B选项“that, on average, CEO’s now earn 419 times the pay of blue-collar workers, a ratio that compares to 42 times” 中要明白，the ration作为同位语指代的是“CEO报酬是工人的419倍”这个比率。所以“that compares to 42 times in 1980”表明的是“‘CEO报酬是工人的419倍NOW’比‘CEO报酬是工人的42倍in 1980’”。逻辑上是可以接受的。

第二，在C选项“that, on average, CEO’s now earn 419 times the pay of blue-collar workers, as compared to 42 times their pay, the ratio
”之中，要明白as指代的是什么，as用于指代前方的核心概念，这个可能有不同理解，但是我认为的是指“CEO's earn”这件事情。所以“as compared to 42 times their pay"就是说“CEO是工人的419倍，对比，CEO是CEO他们自己的42倍”，其后“the ratio” 是"42 times"的同位语。这时候，问题出现了，“in 1980”你可以试试如何把1980合理地翻译出来，相信你困惑如何翻译的时候，就知道为什么C错了。

这个我不是很确定，有的人说compare不能有主动态，而要用被动态，因为不是主动去比较。估计是对的吧。而且后面没划线的介词短语，我独来读去都有修饰compares的歧义。所以逻辑不合理。

这个比较概念就很对等了419 times the pay和42times their pay.

那么第一题的Ｂ选项如果改成．．．．．，compared to 42 times in 1980可不可以对呢？可不可以看成是compared to 42 times （the pay of blue workers）呢？
