为什么谓语动词是began和was completed并列,为什么不能用was begun?

个人认为,不能“被开始”,只能是过去的某一时刻开始了。比如你说比赛开始了,是the competition begins, 而不是the competition is begin. 而“完成”是需要人做功去把它完成。
