OG37，里面的两个it到底各指代什么？请各位指导导导

答案是A ， OG的解释是：
This sentence correctly uses the idiomatic construction so x that y where y is a subordinate clause that explains or describes x: So debilitating that it has become. ...It clearly refers to schistosomiasis, which is correctly modified by
the adjective debilitating.

我的问题是：
（1） it is so debilitating that it has become an economic 中的第一个it 到底指代的是什么？ 是schistosomiasis 还是that后边的内容？ OG解释“so debilitating that it has become. it clearly refer to schistosomiasis. ”是不是说第二个it 是指代schistosomiasis,而第一个it 是指代that后边的内容？
（2）可是答案又说 it clearly refer to schistosomiasis, which is correlty modified by the adjective debilitating, 那还是the schistosomiasis is debilitating吧？ 那岂不是第一个it是指代schistosomiasis? 可是如果第一个it就是指代the schistosomiasis, 第二个it也是指代the schistosomiasis, 那么C选项为什么不对呢？ OG的解释是“The construction so x as to y is not a correct idiom” 完全没懂。。。

我彻底迷惑了，请各位各位大侠指导。。。

楼主说得很有道理~
我觉得it也是指的schistosomiasis，然后加上so...that...描述一种结果，并不是强调句型

关于C选项的错误原因，除了习语的原因，我看到一个解释是说因为so as to后面的become（从not be 到be的一种转变）是action verb，而不是描述state/condition的那种verb。

我理解这句话的意思是说：尽管吸血虫病并不致命，但是它可以让人虚弱，因此它已经在很多发展中国家成一种经济消耗。
如果第一个it指代的是that后边的，怎么理解？
尽管吸血虫病不致命，但是它在很多发展中国家成为经济消耗的情况使这些国家相当虚弱。？
从句和主句之间也没有让步关系啊；而且，吸血虫并怎么成为经济消耗了？ 缺乏逻辑关系吧。

可以说 schnistosomiasis is a debilitating disease  所以 become an economic drian 。
但是不能直接说  schnistosomiasis has become an economic diran 是 debilitating。  说不通啊。。。

那岂不是说这个是 it is ... that... 的强调句，而不是 so...that...的“如此...以至于..."？ 这两个that的性质是不一样的吧？
感觉不对， 我也不知道为什么不对。。。

it is so...that ,it是形式主语,真正的主语是后面的什么it has become an.....那个句子.我记得高中语法总这么用
第二个it指代的是schistosomiasis.
C不对是因为木有用到so....that这个固定搭配吖~
我是这么理解的哈,不知道你懂否
