B. An executive who is heavily committed to a course of action, especially one that worked well in the past, makes missing signs of incipient trouble or misinterpreting ones likely when they do appear. 第二个不好在于,makes missing signs or misinterpreting signs likely when they do appear. 这是一个复合平行 makes missing signs likely when they do appear和makes misinterpreting signs likely when they do appear. 那个when they do appear位置有误。 -- by 会员 superbat28 (2012/3/19 9:28:29)
此外,BAT大神对于B 的第一个缺陷解释貌似跟ron有冲突,ron解释的是E中的one,在下再次认为B&E中one的用法是一致的,具体解释如下:you have "a course of action, especially X" therefore X must be something that's parallel to "a course of action" i.e., it must be a NOUN/PRONOUN, and it must represent a course of action.
here, "one" stands for "a course of action", so that's good.
if you remove "one", that parallelism is destroyed and you are left with a sentence that doesn't make sense. |
