Hi all,
I got offers from both Princeton and MIT.

I had two finance-related internships and pretty strong extracurricular activities at my school. The admission process is very long. The deadline is 1 December. You need to write a 1000-word Statement of Academic Purpose and submit a GMAT/GRE score and 3 letters of recommendations.

This requires a long-term planning. I took the GMAT in April 2011, then I asked my previous employer and two professors at my school to write the letters of recommendations.

The statement should include:
1. Your short and long term career goals.
2. How Princeton's more academic approach would benefit you and help you achieve your goals?
3. How would you fit into Princeton's progeamme and culture? ( i.Academic ii. Social)

Letter of recommendations:
I would follow the MIT's suggested format. (Princeton doesn't have a suggested format.)
Probably, two of them should be from your academic professors and one from your previous employers.

GMAT/GRE Scores:
Prefer GRE. They focus more on the quantitative side of your test scores. Your Undergraduate exam results would be valued together with your test scores.

Interview:
They interview only the top 100 applicants and the interviews are conducted throughout January. Then, they admit around 30 students. The admission rate is usually less than 5%.
The interview itself is similar to a first round IBD interview with a BB Bank. It is competency-based, and the interviewer is interested in your leadership skills, etc. Basically, they want to know if you are capable of getting a job in a BB Bank.
In my opinion, the interview is easy compare with IBD final round interviews.

Admission Decision:
Results are released in mid-Feb.

The Programme itself:
The Programme is very academic. It is a flexible programme that you can graduate in either one year or two years. The placement record is 100% since the course was established, because the school has a great alumni network and the relation director is fantastic in contacting top firms with job opportunities. It is definitely the best M.Fin Programme in America.

I hope all these help.

Still, you need to come to the States. Girls will literarily get in line just to get in bed with you...no kidding. American girls just crave guys who has British accent.
