一道奇怪的题目，名词没有代词的指代清晰？？

OG给出的解释：B、D的错误在于medical test所fail to detect的是a condition，这句话应该强调a condition而不是在何种场合下
                      E的错误在于用presence和when it is there语义重复
                      A的错误在于未划线部分中，句末的it指代不清。
我的问题：1、毋庸置疑，句末的it应该指代condition。A中and连接的两部分，前半部分明确提到condition，而后半部分出现了one，应该也只能指代condition。
                   这样一来，句末的it指代one，one指代condition，不就能够说明it指代的是condition了吗？为什么还会有指代不明的问题呢？
               2、one是名词，it是代词，按常理应该是名词比代词指代更清晰。C中and连接的后半部分里，用it替代了one，怎么会反而正确了呢？

还有 indicate that it is present when it is not. when it is not省略了present，和it is present相呼应，当然这不是充分的论据，因为它也可以是和前面的when  it  is present 平行而省略。但正确的选项会越读越感到正确

我一直认为用there be+抽象名词来排除选项不太靠谱
如：The investigations of many psychologistsand anthropologists support the generalization of there being little that is a significant difference inthe underlying mental processes manifested by people from different cultures.
(A) of there being little that is asignificant difference
(B) of there being little that issignificantly different
(C) of little that is significantlydifferent
(D) that there is little that issignificantly different
(E) that there is little of significantdifferences
这个观点貌似是新东方老师在很少看到there be 正确选项总结出的，GMAC为了打消见there be 必错的观点，弄了几个有there be 的正确选项


A选项的错误是 前面出现了it了，指代 a condition, 在一句话中出现的it要保持指代内容的一致，因此如果it再指代one,会造成confuse.其次 one已经是代词，用简单的例子来说明one 和 it的区别：
After walking by the chocolates so many times，Roger finally had to eat one. It was delicous, but he could not eat only half of it.
one指代 前面先行词 the chocolates 中的一份，it特指 Roger吃的那一份

one在manhattan的说法是indicate an indefinite copy or a single, indefinite part of a collection. 这说明如果要用one,先行词必须是a collection，a condition is not a collection.而且用代词再来指代代词，这种用法明显wordy and awkward.我对此存在疑问~
