C选项的born不会有修饰歧义吗，就是会把它看成只修饰women……

C项的born不会，因为GMAT里的一个习惯是省略定语从句，这里补完是98 percent of men and 75 percent of women  who were born.................................

D项根据原文意思这些人reach adulthood 是过去的事情，而且by the time 也暗示了这一点，还有D的 that were 不够简洁 主句时态为过去式显然没有C的过去完成时合理，毕竟这里是过去的过去
