看Prep 2008语法比较 遇到这样一道题，比较困惑，还望高人指点：

174. Often major economic shifts are so gradual as to be indistinguishable at first from ordinary fluctuations in the financial markets.

A.so gradual as to be indistinguishable

B.so gradual so that they can be indistinguishable

C.so gradual that they are unable to be distinguished

D.gradual enough not to be distinguishable(A)

E.gradual enough so that one cannot distinguish them

不明白 So.... as to 句型和so...that 句型有什么具体的不同，什么时候用哪个？

我觉得这里不是so as to 对，so that不对的问题。

C的主要问题出在are unable to be。 A be able to do something的主要侧重在于A是主动者。这里，shifts并不主动（想被）distinguish, 所以这种表达比较怪。但这里的语法没错。

此外，C还比较wordy。我看OG里好几个题都提到...not good for being too wordy

我觉得C主要是unable to be distinguished用错吧，要是C改成so gradual that they are unable to distinguish应该也能算对？
