此题的正确答案是A，想问一下C为什么错了呢？Although引导让步状语从句，如果主语和主句主语一致，且谓语是be动词，那么主语和谓语不是都可以省略吗？另外E选项，OG解释说：this phrasing makes the sentence somewhat awkward and unclear，这里的this phrasing指的是什么呢？

如果E选项的which指的是surface， 那后面的应该是have吧 单数  还是不明白。。。

although后面的unclear我是这么理解的 他可以指dark spot从来没被看到过也可指sunspot从来没被看到过（不止dark spot这一种形式，各种形式） 我也同意楼上说C少一个谓语动词

B不对是显而易见的。C中Although引导从句，althoughneversighted at xxx缺乏谓语动词所以不对（注意sighted不对谓语动词）。D跟C一样的问题，having been sighted xxx是短语不是句子。E中which就近指代surface改变句意且逻辑不通

同问，已经看过OG官方解释，请问诸位是否可以认为：只要是GMAT里考到的Although，只跟从句，出现although doing/done 必错？如果是这样，那我就领会GMAC的出题精神了。
这个point很重要，因为这个点明确了，这一类遇到，都很快可以破解了，多谢！

有几个错点（我的理解）
1. although后面要引导一个完整的句子 never sighted at 错
2. 我觉得 although引导的从句有修饰dark spots 的嫌疑
3. 句子感觉，没有A好

although从句前面是不是需要有逗号？C选项没有逗号

而且C选项若理解为主谓省略，时态也不对了

感觉although是不是歪曲了本来句子的意思啊？。。句子本来没有"尽管...但..."的意思吧？
我也想问问 在这个情况下have never been sighted 和 are never sighted 的区别，还有 这个情况下 on 和 at 是不是不能互换的？
