我觉得比较的是health的前后状况，并不是与主句状语进行比较，因而，要补出it was

还有比较对象要清楚，如果省略直接用时间状语的话，会造成比较对象不对等

这里是局部比较(比较词more仅仅修饰supplies)，不需要考虑主谓问题.

谢谢你的题目，你说的这题就是in the presidential campaign of 1992 和 in any previous election 的局部比较，in any previous election 和in the president campaign of 1992 的时态一致都是过去式所以是可以省略主谓的~而我给的这个题目，in the coming year 和 five years ago 是在不同的时态中，所以谓语动词不能省略的。谢谢了~我了解了！

ps: 我习惯把状语比较看作全句比较的省略.

谢谢斑竹，我今天被一道题搞郁闷了， 你看Although Napoleon's army entered Russia with far more supplies than they had in their previous campaigns, it had provisions for only twenty-four days。
正解是：for any previous campaign
其中OG 这样解释的：Furthermore, the verb of that clause will need to be in the past perfect form (had had)because it refers to a time before the simple past of entered.

那这不和我们说的谓语时态一致发生冲突吗？ 前面过去式后面是 过去完成时，那么主谓省略不就不对了吗？。。。。纠结中。。。。
