Hello Jon, Have seen you regularly in ChaseDream. Didn't know Stern's finance program was one of the top three... Legend has it that Stern, Tuck and maybe some other schools have sort of a white shoe culture. People say they are very good programs but maybe not for minority or Chinese students. What you think? -- by 会员 davidsiqi (2011/7/14 16:23:44)
Hey there! A great question actually, and one that I need to tread lightly on, as you can imagine. Now Tuck (and Dartmouth in general) definitely has that reputation. And for the undergraduates it is true—it is actually one of the reasons why I didn’t want to go to Dartmouth undergrad. But for the bschool that is LESS of the case—you’re in at 1/3 international at Tuck, so plenty of minorities. And Stern is in the middle of NYC dude! J You cant get more international than that. So for Stern for sure, it’s NOT an issue. For Tuck, you should reach out to some minorities and ask them directly. But even there, pleeenty of folks from all over the world—more than in the undergrad class for sure. Why not apply, get in, THEN make the decision?
