我觉得是A 的the other有问题 the other infections 指除了smallpox 以外的所有，文中没有穷尽的意思吧

if not eradication, 在句中的成分应该是状语，意为“如果不是根除的话”，不影响句子主干。

A中的问题主要是“the other”和“such as”的用法。smallpox（天花）与后面的measles(麻疹) and yaws（一种热带皮肤病）的关系不应用“one,  the other”来分类。再次，从搭配上，such+Nouns+as才是常用搭配
