Entrepreneur+IB+PE background, 能进HBS吗

各位CD的高人，小弟最近一直在犹豫是否要努力拼搏一下HBS MBA. 不知道自己的背景是否可以，请高人指点：

个人背景 - 上海交大本科毕业，之后创业2.5年，开了2家公司，再之后去了香港JPM做IB, 2年。后来被美国一家US$12bn的PE (top 2 in growth equity globally)招去美国，目前已在美国生活一年，觉得交大的学历实在有些磕碜，周围几乎都是HBS，所以也想搏一下。不知是否有可能。GMAT和T都没考。本科GPA3.4/4.0，理科。如果申请到了，上学时已经29了，听说HBS和其他MBA都越来越年轻化了。不知是否还有机会。

在创业的同时还顺便保送了交大的研究生，但是几乎没有上过课，混了个及格而已，这个硕士学历可以不透露吗？因为成绩实在一塌糊涂。

well, it might not be true and indeed  might be quite misleading as they do have quite a lot of students beyound 28.

I agree. But then again, I've always said that the biggest factor whether you have a chance is not your background, but your essays and recommendations. If my background had been the main factor I would never have gotten into Wharton. But nobody ever says 'this is what I intend to write about, do I have a chance?' (although maybe they should).

楼主不是从创业往IB跳吧，楼主明显是在读硕士期间创办了两家企业，然后硕士毕业时找工作去了IB。

Hey there!  Jon Frank here, at your service.  I graduated from HBS and work with many HBS candidates every year.  So I am happy to offer up some thoughts here for you, no problem.  It is true, you are a bit older than HBS would like—but you DO have a very strong background.  And HBS has surprised many this year, by accepting some Chinese applicants who are older than their average.  HBS doesn’t care as much about your grades or undergraduate background, provided that you can show some very strong LEADERSHIP experience.  That is what HBS is obsessed with—leadership.  After all, have a look at their mission statement if you haven’t already.  Leadership is critical—if you can show that you DO have some great leadership background, and if you of course do very well on the GMAT, you will have a shot at HBS.  Don’t let age, or your college  background stand in your way.  And of course, let me know if there is anything more I can do to help!
