Taking Questions about Yale SOM (WL-related information in the end)

今年八月来美，至今已有六个星期左右，Class of 2012开学也有五周，算是慢慢安定下来了。New Haven是个小镇，但据说在New England地区已算是Vibrant town了，呵呵。SOM是个温暖的集体，大家相处颇为惬意，处处见人带着笑；随着上两周二年级学生们回归，又更体现出积极活泼的一面。

SOM的campus visit上周开始，我还是tour guide之一.  看到前来探访的prospective students好奇的脸，回答着他们的问题，想起了CD的大家。不管诸位是否有机会来campus visit，有个taking questions的帖子或许还是不错的，所以开了这一贴。帖子写的随性，大家有什么问题也就随意问吧。如果我能回答的一定回答，如果答不上来，也尽量会想办法找到答案。如果有什么关于申请过程中的rumors想要clear的，也可以来提出。我跟admission office商量过，他们非常欢迎任何问题。

另，在校的时间表颇为紧张，如果有不周之处还请体谅。

Admission Committee给我的信，跟Waitlist有关：

Hi Susan,

Happy Holidays!  I’d be happy to help with a message for waitlisted candidates.  I think the most important thing we can communicate is that waitlisting is not bad news for them.  It just means we need a little more time for their application, but we appreciate their patience and we know how hard it is to wait for a decision.  Our waitlist is managed by Allegra Erickson (allegra.erickson@yale.edu), so they are free to email Allegra to let her know that they are interested in remaining on the waitlist.  They can also update us with any significant changes to their application (e.g., promotion at work, new grades) at mba.admissions@yale.edu.  We’ll also be in touch periodically with everyone on the waitlist to keep them updated about their status.

楼主 谢谢你的建议，我现在通过一步步的梳理自己的经历 在申报的过程中已经锻炼得比较有信心了！
虽然我最后一次考下来的GMAT成绩还是不高，但是我觉得凭着我的GPA（英国大学里的first honour,大概折算成3.6-3.7）还有大量的扶贫志愿者活动，社团活动组织，自己创建杂志社等等经历，我还是可以博一博的，实在不行，就当是给后面学校的申请练练手啦

总之 谢谢你告诉我要展现maturity这一点，我现在也比较明确了why b-school now
虽然明天就是deadline了 我会努力申请的！

Great to know.  信心这玩意儿是自己给自己的，好的表现是随信心和准备来的。放松的心态不能雪中送炭，但一定是锦上添花。看到你对自己这么有信心，真的挺高兴。Good luck!
