我觉得在E选项中 resembling a hummingbird 跳过前面的同位语做定语修饰sunbird，这样想对不对？

我觉得楼主所说的resembling修饰sunbird，的确说得通。

且Lina's sunbird, a four-and-a-half-inch animal  是个同位语结构吧？

那么修饰sunbird or four-and-a-half-inch animal 是没有太大问题的。

那么问题在哪呢？正如1楼所说，E没有A简练。

P.S：to 1楼：天蝎不行。。你要白羊就够了！！白羊是无敌的！

咋是同位语呢，这个动名词相当于副词的修饰成分，不能做同位语吧，同位语定义：一个名词(或其它形式)对另一个名词或代词进行修饰，限定或说明，这个名词(或其它形式)就是同位语

E选项中的 resembling 前面有逗，说明修饰前面的整个句子， 去了逗号就是修饰临近的Philippines，根据句意哪个都不对，这道题要看原文的逻辑意思， found 和resembling 两个分词共同修饰four-and-a-half-inch animal

去掉逗号修饰Philippines，这个明白，可是能不能想成这个逗号存在是因为同位语的关系，而不是resembling做状语？从原文意思来看，resembling修饰sunbird也说得通吧

这个是分词的并列结构。Lina's sunbird（主语）, （which is做定从修饰主语，省略了）a four-and-a-half-inch animal （found） in the Philippines and （that resembles） a hummingbird,

found表被动  and  resembling表主动 可以并列

D, E里面，把定从做为同位语，独立成句，意思是一样的，可是表达没有定从简洁。

不知道这么解释对不对。
