啊~~恍然大悟~~你说的对，这个有道题在OG中也出现过~~恩，主语是discovery~~一直把figurines看成figures了~~汗！！

我觉得figurines是不能double “the number of these artifacts ”；而应该是discovery 这个事情才会double。

例如：大全95题， 是mechanization of farming 这个事情让corn yield 翻倍，而不是corn yield自己：

而且GMAT不太喜欢用excavating这种词~有excavation这个名词不用干嘛用动名词~
