本人选滴是C但是答案是E，不知道是不是因为C用了被动语态，而且比较啰嗦？？

望高人指教，顺便也把每个选项分析一下吧，造福后人~

"限定性与非限定性实质是：有该修饰时，修饰对象的外延是否有变化，如果变小了就是限定性，如果没变就是非限定性。"   这是前辈们的总结。对此有3个疑问：1、这也就意味着WHICH比that的跳跃能力强，在此题中可以更好地指代到逻辑上合理的先行词news上面？ 2、C选项如果将WERE改为WAS是否在语法上就没有错误？ 即THAT可以跳跃指代到逻辑上合理的NEWS吗？  3、我做题时错把E中的TOOK。。。看成了分词修饰前面的NEWS,由此产生了一个疑问，就是，只要逻辑上合理分词是否也可跳跃修饰？并且跳跃能力与WHICH比如何？

这个很好懂得 是什么被sent  很显然不是 shoots  那么就是news了  news不可数 用was
其实 GMAT考试中 有很多题目都是考察  我们是否知道 根据 单复数 判断 "跳跃修饰"的问题

我也选C的 但是语法笔记里说 C的主谓一致有问题，应该用was 而不是were。。。。我彻底迷茫了

好像是因为that从句时修饰news的，所以系动词用单数is.但是说老实话，我到现在都还没有搞清楚定语从句的修饰问题。
特别是这种of一层套一层的，到底是就近修饰最近的那个词，还是修饰最前面的那个总领词~不晓得铁铁TX知不知道？知道的话告诉我哦~~

或者是用that指代前面句子~~~不一定是说什么定从~

我觉得ms一般修饰名词的定语从句会用which，修饰句子则用that，所以直接排除B、C

A. which指代news，不可数，应用was.此外 another 与 additional 重复。
B. in order 应删去。此外comma和also也是没有必要
C. 同样were错
D. in order 错，another ..addition 重复。
