我觉得就是没有A简洁而已，可是 after losing their habitat,我觉得指代也没什么不清楚，逻主也对啊。。。

E首先肯定是错的，最后after lossing their habitat 是个省略的时间状语从句，那么此句的逻辑主语就是invasive plant， 这个意思就是错的，还有A和E相比错误的地方还是因为意思，threat to sth 是对sth的威胁，而threat to maintaining 就不如 to the maintenance更有“对维持的威胁”的意思了

我觉得做这道题的思路可以是这样的：
首先为了保持平行应该用threat to and to,所以将B、D排除
然后E选项to maintaining明显语法错误，所以排除
最后剩下A、C。但是C中的their明显指代不清。题目要表到的意思是：威胁有两个，首先是habitat loss,然后是invasive plants 。那么这里的habitat loss到底值得是谁的habitat呢，我觉得值得是后面的plants and animals ，反正绝对不是前面的invasive plants 。如果你用their的话，their紧跟在invasive plants 后面，很容易让人觉得指代的是invasive plants ，会出现指代错误的问题。再说，habitat loss与 invasive plants 都是名词，从保持一致上看比losing their habitat好。

我当时也想过，但是我觉得这里加不加the都是可以的，可以认为是泛指，也可以认为是特指maintenance of biologically diverse ecosystems
