正确的答案是 would have to know a great deal more than they do now about the social and economic

另外一个答案E would have to know a great deal more than now about the social and economic 被OG认为是拿来和now 做比较了，但是白勇的语法里面说，当主句的主谓和比较中的主谓完全相同时可以完全省略主谓，只留下状语

为什么这个答案不可以被认为是省略了they know呢

省略的前提是不影响理解，前提是不会产生歧义~~

嗯~~我明白they do 就是把前面更改了个形式~~但是为何同样的主谓可以省略的原则在这个不可以咧。。

是不是因为than要求比较前后形式一样的原因？用they do,代替了前面长长的would have to know.
