Because when employers hire MBA students, they expect them with a couple of years experience and should be mature enough. They don't need to spend a lot of time to train you and to teach you some basic stuffs hand-in-hand. Why should they pay more to hire a MBA if a fresh grad bachelor student can do his job just fine?

However, if a student goes to a top MBA program straight out of school, this usually means he is an execptional genius. Companies are willing to invest in them and train these genii.

After some research in RPI, I think that the non-ranking MBA program can't bring me the second situation you mentioned. I will go to gatech! Thanks again!

if you don't have work experience, i highly suggest you ignore this so called elite mba program.

Unless you graduated from top mba programs such as HBS/MIT/Yale etc, without work experience you will find yourself even harder to find jobs once you have a mba degree.

MBA is a once-a-life-time experience, you should use it when you face career bottle neck.

If you worry about return, then I think you should work first and then apply for a better MBA degree later.

If you are determined to go abroad now, then Gatech is a better choice compared to RPI IMHO.

Thank you very much! Your explanation figures out several crucial factors in choosing which school.  And that' s very useful for me. Thanks again! Well,another question,why  aren't students graduating  from  top   mba  programs   competitive eenough to find good jobs?
