这道题我google了，发现Manhattan论坛没有给解答，BG和urch里面都有争议，CD里也是有不少争议。
我个人认为A说的通，works有著作的意思，跟后面的records应该属于一类，那么后面的study就要跟that比较。但the n. of sth 与sb's n的比较一般算作不平行的，从平行角度来叫D除了单复数问题，格式上还是平行的。

搞不懂了，越到考试，越多模糊题，之前复习的时候也都没留意。

IMO,that of seems to have no reference

and work can be parrallel to study, so we do not need that~

因为我觉得works和study感觉不是同类东西

相反，works和record我感觉是可比的一类

我搞不懂A里面的that指代的是什么。。。
从句子意思来看后面说的都是study about slavery，前面的是unlike esrlier works on slavery。我的理解是works跟study是同义词。
