My stat is just so-so... G700 / GPA 3.1 / I waived

Now so excited (Kellogg's JD-MBA is a dream come true to myself)... Will talk more about my application, essay and  interview experience in later posts

Thanks all CDers for your support and advices~

thank you for sharing these experiences,Zonia~

And I'm just wondering why you chose to apply these four schools instead of other B-Schools, such as Harvard,Stanford or Yale?

:)

(could be) My last post on CD

mr. / ms. yearoftiger, thanks for contributing so much on my post. actually since i got the acceptance from my dream program, I don't care too much how others would react anymore. To me, it's not bad I have such ability to woo the adcoms (i should be proud to have good communications skills?)my definition of success is broad, and i'm happy with what i got. so if you dun like it, just let it be... i did not intend to get anyone here to envy or like me in the first place. i opened this post solely for sharing my experience

thanks to all other CDer (who are being so supportive always)... please leave me your msn by private message if you wanna talk... question or else are welcome... i am not going to stir up any fights because this is not the way in real life. i truly appreciate all your comments... and love to build friendship with you

to make one last point as my summary, i wanna tell everyone dun give up because of the less-than-stellar stats (or anything else), you deserves much better if you dare to try. this belief works for me, and i do hope this also works for others who dare to dream.

good luck to everyone.

p.s. take it easy man... just complain on things being not fair doesnt help. afterall, your complain would not change anything... adcoms has their own ways on evaluating people... perhaps you become an adcom at my school and reject applications like mine?
i'm actually curious, do you think you would "impress anyone" or added value to other applicants by attacking me? (no offense, i just cannot understand, i'm sure you'll forgive me for being so dumb bcoz i told everyone i'm actually a dumb person by my less-than-stellar stats rite?)

Dude, I thought originally you said you don't mean any offense.  And now for sure  you are offensive.  Take it easy!!!
There are thousands of ppl applying for MBA each year and everyone has different talents.  I am sure you are very talented too, and I would stand up for you too if someone mocks you about it.  But now I am standing up for LZ because I think getting to where she is at today is not easy.  There is no need to down play on others' achievement because no one has any idea how hard it is to get there except themselves.      Don't be a hater, MBA is about acceptance, if you don't accept and cherish,  won't get very far.

CPA/CFA is dime a dozen within the Big 4 (so are accountants). 12-14 hours is about the norm within the audit function at any of the four firms. You might hit 18 hours when PE clients are screaming for that financial due diligence report, but that's not going to be the case day in day out. Don't the bankers and M/B/B folks go through that too? Just about every Chinese at Booth have the CFA.

If your other six languages are as good as your English, then you have impressed no one. I spent part of my early days in Europe and we got exposed to just as many.

The top law schools on average accept those with 170 LSAT and 3.8 GPA.The top b-schools on average accept those with 720 GMAT and 3.5 GPA. WeChinese on average need to top those stats to get in. The point is that there are so many talented Chinese students who graduated at the top of their class , with 750 GMAT, but don't have the opportunity to study at this program because some college essay consultant knows how to woo the admission officer with that fancy Why MBA BS (I bet your your Harvard JD/MBA brother and cousin showed you the ropes).

Yearoftiger,
大家只是网上交流,何必如此呢。。。
我觉的Zonia的英语很impressive.

Havent been checking on this post for a while.
Just to give some more data on the employment / intern rate. According to latest employment stats, JD-MBA student is 100% employed within 9 months after graduation from 2006 - 2010.

The tuition is around 60K per year for 3 years. (And the program has its separate scholarship / grants program. It's been quite generous to award me a 22K scholarship per year for my studies)
