求解4到OG12th语法题，非常感谢大家了！

Rising inventories 是一个动名词词组，作为一个整体，应该是单数吧，而且这个词我觉得是动作性的。这道题我理解了，但动名词怎么判断单复数，有点晕。

所以D没错啊，但解析中针对D就说injured 应该用被动。所以我觉得D没错

spawned 和extending  是修饰fungus的，解析说是以不同动词形式来表明动作发生的不同阶段。但就语法来说不通啊，extending 还行spawned那有被产卵的啊！

1. 情态动词不能随意添加和省略，不能互换（除might和may外）
2. when强调时间,if 强调condition，这里的句意强调condition

2】
1. injury句意上应是“被”
2. 过去完成时表示过去的过去，通常与一般过去时连用（不和现在完成时连用）

1. 注意:前后都是分词就平行了,不一定要同样的分词；致于用什么样的分词，取决于与主语的关系，时态（现在还是过去）
2. 过去分词修饰语和现在分词修饰语并列。C表被动，显然错
3.  “-ING分词短语作定语：强调动作的多次性、重复性、客观性，无明确的时间概念；
    定语从句作：强调动作的一次性，强调具体时间，具体行为。” （白勇）

rather to do 是错误表达 instead to do 必错
instead是副词，后面应该直接加动词
instead of 作介词短语，后面接名词，或者现在分词

我的想法不太一样，不知道对不对哦。如果不对请牛人指正。
Rising inventories,实际还是说inventories, rising只是修饰，所以看inventories是单复数情况定谓语。

1  动名词就是动词加ING构成名词  不出意外都是用单数  除非是  v1+ing  and  v2+ing  这种情况用复数
2  如果用injured 这个主动形式  那么就和后面 and was discharged 这个 被动形式不平行了  而 and结果最强调的就是要完全平行
3  产卵的动作是single fertilized spore 发出的啊 所以tentacles被动 没错啊  这个题目典型的过分+现分同时做定语修饰
4  “Rather than =instead of , 那rather =instead 吗？用法呢？还有rather to 的用法？”
GMAT里面表达  而不是 的时候一般都用rather  than          
instead of  中的of是介词  这两个短语怎么会相同呢
rather=instead 就更不对了
rather than 的一般用法是 to do rather than (to) do  第二个to 省略  
这个题目的结构是  sth wil do and instead (will) do
