关于they指代的问题~~！请教nn

这个题选C，我的问题是abc的them是不是指代不清？因为我看很多题目的解释都是them有可能指代前面的很多复数，这个题里面如果them 指的是astronomers ，那语意不通，不就错误了吗？

这里in which修饰其前面的名词，所以which指代H，那么THEY只能指代cells了，不存在问题

我也一度被LZ的问题所困扰过，现在我是这样理解的：
无论是ETS还是ACT，他们都不会设立定理，尽量避免给出哪种情形一定是错的这种绝对说法。从OG中可以看出，SC的度量标准是Correct、Effective、Proper。也许题目中会出现超越规范用法的正确选项，这是因为它比其他四项相对更符合上面的三条规则。

如果生搬硬套“宾语从句后不能省略that”的定理，那就变成 so prevalent that it was said that a squirrel could
而这明显是wordy与awkward的，所以这种情况下就会有变通。
所谓“两害相权取其轻也”，就是这个道理吧。

选D，我也是选的D，但还是有疑问，abde里的they和them不存在指代不清晰的问题吗？可以指代cells，也有可能指代 hormones呀，如果是后者，那不就逻辑出错了吗？。可是有的时候答案就说they/them可能造成指代不清晰，到底什么情况算清晰，什么算不清晰？请指教，谢谢！！

代的是pollutants 。划线部分they不是指的开头的主语吗

我也正在困扰这个问题 搜索了论坛里N多关于代词指代的帖子
自己小小总结了下
they虽然就近指代  但也可以逻辑指代远的那个
所以更多的时候不应作为评判标准

就是做题时千万别钻牛角尖， 比如说我刚做道题 recommend 后面虚拟
很简单， ACDE都没用，就B用的， 但是B后面有个it可能产生歧义  我就开始犹豫不决了啊
这个取舍真的很痛苦，甚至开始怀疑是不是recommend不用虚拟， 只是宾语从句...

哎。。。真不知道考试时怎么办， 肯定是不忍心按NEXT。。。


希望能有高手来解答我和LZ的困惑。。。。
