这里的主语是 themes 所以用are
explores是因为： Rita Dove explores（themes） in her poetry              是由Rita这个人发出的

like表比较的时候不加句子的 而且like放中间 可以造成修饰歧义 可以修饰前面 可以修饰后面
E中的AS是指代前面的整件事
