请大侠和NN指教，parasite为什么可以成为its所指代的词？parasite是形容词，而不是主语啊？而且这里本来逻辑意思也模糊， freshwater snails貌似也能够成为被指代词，所以用their。

请大家讨论。先讨论一下大家再看OA吧。。

另外，如果有一个句子，the freshwater snails are the parasite's hosts in part of its life。

这个句子大家会觉得有指代不清吗？我读完后感觉怪怪的，its似乎该指代句子主语；而我又觉得不对。。。

忘各位赐教。。。。拜谢了。

这题真是。。。前面有一个it做主语指那个Sxxx，这里这个its又指其他的，Manhattan就来一句we will tolerate the ambiguity了事。。。。

"that rule ONLY forbids a NON-POSSESSIVE PRONOUN from standing for a POSSESSIVE NOUN.

ALL other combinations --
(1) non-possessive noun, non-possessive pronoun;
(2) non-possessive noun, possessive pronoun;
(3) possessive noun, possessive pronoun --
are OK.

this is case (3).

* "Schistosomiasis" and "it" are both SUBJECTS --> they are parallel --> we'll tolerate the ambiguity.
* "parasite's" and "its" are both POSSESSIVES --> they are parallel --> we'll tolerate the ambiguity.

我也想过，关于for和in，也有点不能理解。还望各位和版主赐教。

另外，版主你说格位形式一致。。能帮我详解一下吗。。。我愚钝了一点。。
最重要我不太理解格位。。。

我还是是在不能理解，为何不指向freshwater snails，而指向parasite；我读了很多遍，也没有体会出来。

前面的hosts表达了为某一时期提供宿主，所以用for

in的话倾向于表达某一个特定时间段做某事。

逻辑上来讲还是for比较合适。

umm...格位就是比如Micheal要用he来指代，the cat要用it来指代之类的.

为何不指向freshwater snails，而指向parasite

记住代词是根据逻辑含义和句子结构来判断是否能够指代的。记下这句话或这样子的句子结构，以后就游刃有余了.
