The following appeared in a letter from a part-owner of a small retail clothing chain to her business partner:  
“Commercial real estate prices have been rising steadily in the Sandida Heights
neighborhood for several years, while the prices in the adjacent neighborhood of Palm Grove have remained the same. It seems obvious, then, that a retail space in Sandida Heights must now be much more expensive than a similar space in Palm Grove, which was not the case several years ago. So, it appears that retail spaces in Sandida Heights are now overpriced relative to those in Palm Grove. Therefore, it would be in our financial interest to purchase a retail space in Palm Grove rather than in Sandida Heights.”
Discuss how well reasoned . . . etc.

服装店的利润 = 销售额 - 成本

在S市置地,可能店面成本高,但是同样,客流(带来的销售额)也可能更大。原文将店面的价格做为唯一考虑因素,不妥。

1. it is assumed that a rise in commercial real estate price will lead to an increase in retail spaces - this may not be the case because the existence of long term contracts. Price of retail spaces may not increase by the same proportion had there been such contracts.
2. it is also assumed that an increase in commercial real estate price accounts for "overprice", where this price increase can be perfectly justifiable - for example, the establishment new metro exits in Sandida Heights neighbourhood area.
3. the author also assumed that we could benefit more financially if we were to purchase a retail space in Palm Grove. This assumption is seriously flawed because an expensive retail space may have much more pedestrian flow than less expensive ones, where less business opportunities persist.
