3. reading: newspaper letter, limit printing paper in computer lab 'cause of wasting paper and equipment break down often
girl disagree 1) it is a process of writing paper, student may not know whether stuff is useful before printing. it is a way of doing research.  2) breakdown is not due to the frequent usage. the machines are very old. suggested to replace them with new and efficient ones


4. reading:advanced crediting, a way teacher help children to develop socially appropriate behaviors by praising them even if children do not have such behaviors. after being praised, children will exhibit the desired behaviors
lecturer: experiment, teacher give out candy to children and observe whether they throw wrappers on the floor or in the trash. most throw on the floor. but teacher praise them as neat children. after 2 weeks of constant praise, give out candy again. and this time, student thrown wrappers in the trash. then prove the advanced crediting works.


5. problem: girl has a class presentation. the classroom is at the other side of the campus and only 10 minutes left. At the same time, it rained heavily outside.
boy's 2 suggestion: 1) girl borrow the umberlla from the boy. however, boy doesn't has umberlla with him and girl should wait boy to collect. risking being late  2)run away to the class without umberlla. being wet and poor image for presentation


6. animal defense behavior to avoid being eaten by predators. 2 examples of a snake are given: 1) look more dangerous than they actually are. the snake becomes bigger in the part of its head and move fast, trying to bite predators. in fact, them not really want to bite since their mouth is close when they move. but they try to scare the enemy away.   2) pretend to be dead and hope be ignored by predator. the snake lay down to the ground, with belly uptowards and mouth open. to mislead predator. after few minutes, they wake up and see whether predators leave

第一篇 火山的2种magma

第1段：讲火山，为什么有的爆发，有的温和

第2段：说了2种magma, b*** / r **** , 里面都有一种si***的物质和水，区别是：b中 si少，水也少/ r中 si多，水也多

第3段：介绍si的作用

第4段：介绍水的作用是，决定溶化的温度（考点）

第5段：说到pluton,它是 large r 形成的。 举了一个把油滴到水，然后油慢慢浮上来的例子，问什么作用（考点），因为r石头是从火山底部形成，然后慢慢浮上来的，浮上来的方式和油是一样的。 另一个（考点）浮上来的需要2个因素，选2个，一个是tectoic power, 另一个我选的是surronding materials are fluid and hot

第2篇 argricultural evolution of Japan during Medieval times

第1段：介绍说人多，然后有大城市出现（考点），说明食物生产力变大，可以养活更多人

第2段：介绍一种方法，统一灌溉，可以种不同的作物（考点），但是需要大量劳动力 labor-intensive(考点)

第3段：介绍另一种方法，应该就是蓄水。说把作物种在河边，因为如果没有蓄水，作物就活不了（考点）。蓄水2个好处：dry season时有水用+sunlight ->high tempature (考点)

第4段：总结，说日本人开始多领地了

第3篇 chinese silk

第1段：不太记得了，大概就是介绍一下，chinese silk很出名

第2段：介绍说 silk做衣服，要几千个silkworm才能做一件(考点，sentence rephrase)。而且大部分是女的作的，有规模化，大家分工（考点，选一个不是作silk特点）。

第3段：好像讲到周朝，silk开始普及。还说有彩色的silk,更贵，silk有不同的texture, color（考点）还提到一个墓，里面有什么silk做的陪葬品，问为什么提到这个墓，好像是唯一的一此发现（考点）

第4段：提到基本都是女的做silk，为皇帝服务，显示其珍贵（考点）讲到丝绸之路，说西方很喜欢，也自己做，但是supply never meet demand, still import from CN (考点)

第5段：讲到唐朝，有一个插入题，说唐朝不只是出口，还会进口一些东西，插在一句提到长安城的前面（考点）

第6段：不是很记得了

写作

1。reading: 一种鸟,叫 ang*** manife***, 巨大，lost ability to fly during evolution   3reasons: 1) problems to lift off into the air 2) no enough muscle strength to fly for a while   3) thanks to their big size, they do not have predator. no need to fly

listening: challenge   3 reasons:  1) may not from a standing point for flight, can fly with a running start. they may run down a hill.  2) take use of the wind current for flying, even without moving wings, e.g: eagles and other birds  3) they need a large amount of dead animal body for food. so flying can easily cover large areas/distance.



2. agree/disagree: it is importance to have the rules of the types of clothing should be allowed for people for work and study
