没有找到合适的讨论贴。

因为as可以充当介词，如as a student，he。。。。。。，所以B语法上没有错。

请问B错，是不是因为leaching不能被well established，所以逻辑错？？？？？

E的well established as early as the eighteenth century是充当了时间状语，而原句里是要well established来充当定语修饰method。这样逻辑意思是有不同的。

为什么要用过去完成时。过去完成时表示  ［过去的过去］
那用了过去完成时，就相当于给两句话强加了一层逻辑关系， [在miners没有意识到XXX之前，leaching是怎样的一种技术]
意味着，miners意识到了XXX之后，leaching就不是那样的一种技术了？

这不是作者想要的意思。所以用一般过去时，表示对过去事实的一个陈述。
