My motherland is China, a developing country. And it has the largest population of the world, about 130 million people. From ancient times, Chinese people depend so much on the farmland that agriculture is the foundation of whole country. But because of the low level of agricultural technology in China, many people can not fulfill their stomachs at every meal. Hungry and poverty make people live tough in my country. If a university plans to build agricultural research in my country, numerous scientist and specialist will focus on how to boost the yield of the cropland and how to increase the efficiency of farm operation. As a result, price of crop goes down and everyone in my country can afford to have decent dinner everyday. Furthermore, because of the progressed farming efficiency, more labor will divert from agriculture to other industries, such as manufacture, IT and travel industry. This diversion can boost the country economy as a whole. On the other hand, a business research is also indispensable in my country. As the boost of economy in China, a provident business research center can give more valuable and prudent suggestion to the country government and make analysis of the phenomena in developing process. A new center in business field is also good for all kinds of companies in China. For example, more managers are willing to listen to the advices from the business research center and make the proper adjustment of business operation. Another example is that Chinese stock market is really hot in recent years. Millions of dollars are injected into the stock market from individual and investment banks. But the risk is as high as opportunities. A business research will give people wise suggestion on money management. In other words, business researches are not only essential to individual, but also to the whole country. In conclusion, both agricultural and business researches play key roles in the country's economy and everyone's life. It is really hard to say which one is better. Actually, I think it might be wise to split the new research center into agricultural and commercial research centers individually. I believe that these two independent centers will work together and benefit the whole country a lot.
