我不是OU的学生，因为有朋友在他们家FIN program, 最近聊起来placement。我原来知道OU不错，聊下来发现比我原本知道的还要好不少！下面是我了解到的，和自己查到的OU Finance近十年的全部毕业生的placement。

     我能查到的OU FIN毕业生基本全部找到了教职。让我比较吃惊的是OU place了好几个很不错的research school，比如 Purdue, Buffalo, Fordham, Tennessee, Warwick, Lehigh, Monash, Iowa State, Memphis, UTEP等。这在OU这个tier的学校里很不常见。除此之外，像RIT, Hofstra, Richmond, Montana St, Wichita St 都是很不错的balance school，在FMA market上都是热门校。当然也还有几个去了一般的teaching school。我的感觉是OU近十年的placement可以秒杀同tier的其他学校，超过很多高一个tier学校，甚至可以跟高两个tier的一些学校PK一下。我朋友说他们的教授有带学生发paper的传统，我觉得这可能是最主要的原因。从placement来看，OU还是很值得非大牛的童鞋申请的。当然我也不是安利他们家，大家还是要申请最适合自己的学校！

I was prompted to browse through the Finance faculty pages at Oklahoma State and was only able to identify two publications in A journals. Also, as you mentioned, almost all of the graduates of their Finance Program end up in teaching-focused colleges, and therefore it sits toward the bottom of Tier 4 (or belongs to Tier 5) in our Placement Rankings.

Oklahoma State在其他方面可能是Tier4，但是在Fin方面应该算Tier5。他们的老师基本只有一篇A或者没有A，他们的学生努力的可能可以去balance，但是大部分还是teaching。这位兄长可以去官网看看他们老师的背景，更新一下您的那个帖子。

Definitely. University of Oklahoma is in Tier 3 (the upper bracket of the tier, or the lower bracket of Tier 2, for the Fin concentration) whereas Oklahoma State is in Tier 4.

The Fin concentration of the Univ of Oklahoma program is fairly good relative to many other programs of the same tier although the UO brand is not well-known outside of the US, including China.

By the way, the career prosepects of a PhD from a top 30 econ department are generally as promising as those of a PhD from a top business program.
