LBS vs INSEAD MBA

谢谢各位，在问了快50个两个学校校友之后，楼主选了INSEAD. 正在写申请总如下：

E2E DIY MBA App Process –LBS, INSEAD, Haas, Oxford, Cambridge admitted

Pre MBA Background

- Doing strategy in an multinational insurer: business product strategy , large scale transformation (operation& digital)

- currently based in London, used to be New York
- total work experience: 5 year

- B.S in North American Top Public University

Post MBA Goal:  

- London or China

- Consulting (MBB generalist or Digital Team)

- Tech: Fintech or InsureTech

哈哈哈哈 楼上对话好像在看一道GMAT CR题一样，我想想哟
INSEAD每年招中国人100人，LBS20人，投票结果还是LBS领先，所以LBS更好，以下哪一个是假设
A）投LBS的人更多就可以证明LBS更好
B）投票的人可以客观而准确的的选出更好的，同时读了LBS和INSEAD并且可以精准剔除所有变量来比较两个学校
C）哪个学校更好是可以通过研究两个学校招中国学生数量以及chasedream论坛一个帖子的投票来决定的
D）所有人对于评价哪个学校更好的准则都是一样的
E） 看了这个投票的人会认为LBS更好就不会继续在LBS和INSEAD之间动摇了

纯属玩笑别当真哈哈哈哈，并没有要喷任何人的意思。。。。

I think the choice between the two comes down to whether your pre-MBA experiences are good enough to support getting into MBB or strategy consulting roles. If you were in IB/consulting/corp strategy/corp dev type of role and you are very ready to make the jump, INSEAD is the clear winner. If not, then I'd probably consider two-year program to give yourself a bit more time.

I picked INSEAD because I had 3 year buy-side M&A experience and 2 year consulting at Deloitte.

The problem with this premise is that your resume is in the same pile with resumes from all other schools in the cycle.

I don't think it's necssarily correct to measure elitism of schools by "histories". People do have a sense about which program is, in general terms, "better", or "more sought after". In a sense it's the same as most people would say Harvard/ Stanford is more "elite" than Wharton, and Wharton is more "elite" than the rest of M7.

I do think the size of the class matters; and the bigger the worse. Size is not an issue for H and W b/c so many top recruiters come to them to recruit students. When averaged out, everyone still has plenty great options. For other schools, there are fewer top opportunities. By the end of the day, recruiters will have to decide which resumes to put in front of the hiring managers. And everything equal, the more people applied, the less chance your resume is picked.
