I know i'm not being super helpful, but just want you to make decision based on what truly differentiate these places, not some superficial half based idea you overheard from the internet. That's all. I first need to clarify that kellogg people are super nice, but the term "kellogg nice" itself could have a different connotation. Rest assured you will meet the niceast people here at Kellogg. At the same time, I can be sure you will meet nice people at SOM. So, here, I'll summarize my points.
1. Niceness SHOULD NOT be a strong factor because of what I just said.
2. Long-term career goal SHOULD NOT be how you decide K and Y. Your long-term career is 99% up to you. I take that back. 100% up to you.
3. Short-term career goal CAN be how you decide K and Y. Due diligence with alumni oh HOW MANY consulting firms that hire international students come on-campus. There's a big difference between on-campus recruiting and off-campus recruiting. Trust me.
4. Culture fit and student demographics is a strong factor for you to decide between K and Y. On demo, Yale SOM is way more international focused (based on percentage of intl students) than Kellogg. On fit, it's really up to you, and truly it's a toss up.
5. Interact with other admitted students. Do you like them? They will be around you for two years & the rest of your life. It matters a lot.
Will be happy to chat further if you need anything.
Congratulations again. Good luck
