关于GMATprep中语法的一道题（thus在什么时候后面更v-ing）

答案是d。我想问thus后面可以直接跟v-ing吗？为什么做了好几题（og），thus后面都是要有一个完整的话。还是说后面的making仅仅是伴随状态，与thus无关。我有点糊涂。

不好意思 e不是因为which才排除掉的，e选项的解释还是参考一下其他人吧～
