快考了，问几道关于独立主格的问题~求NN指点

（1）Like the planets, the stars are inmotion, some of them at tremendous speeds, but they are so far away from Earth that their apparent positions in the sky donot change enough for their movement to be observed during a single humanlifetime.（正确答案）【some of them at tremendous speeds】在这里是独立主格，但是独立主格不是一般充当状语成分吗（本质是应该有谓语动词才对）？the stars are in motion是主系表结构，如果看成是修饰名词the stars，好像又不符合独立主格的性质。。

（2）In the past several years, astronomers havedetected more than 80 massive planets, most of them at least as large asJupiter, circling other stars.（正确答案）
这题中【most of them at least as large as Jupiter】应该也是独立主格，如果理解成修饰前面一整个分句好像也很不合逻辑，看上去更像是planets了...这好像也不符合独立主格的性质了.

（3）Once numbering in the millions worldwide, wolveshave declined to an estimated 200,000 in 57 countries, some 11,000 of themto be found in the lower 48 United States and Alaska.（正确答案）
这题中【some 11,000 of them to be found in the lower 48 United States and Alaska】，这里的some做副词，和approximately意思差不多。
也是独立主格，同样的问题，按照修饰前面整个分句来理解特别扭，更像是直接修饰名词wolves...

然后之前看到一些规则：比如独立主格中的【名词/代词】和主句主语不能是同一个，那上面三个句子怎么办......求NN指点

谢谢！！！我明白了，因为一直记得曼哈顿中有讲到这个是独立主格。但后面也看到一些其它帖子，过于纠结独立主格去修饰谓语动词。如果理解为有解释说明功能，这几个句子都讲得通了~我也查了一下，独立主格确实有解释说明的功能，如果前面是主系表结构，也能看成是对系表结构一种状态的补充说明。再次谢谢！！曼巴祝你早日分手

独立主格是有解释说明的功能的

这里你抽出主干看，倒装回来其实就是“ The threat and the decline among them”
因为介词结构太短，放后面比较难看所以倒装（这种情况你应该也见过不少）
不用纠结它修饰的一定是主句谓语动词，那是独立主格中伴随的一种功能，关于这点我之前应该举过例子

我后来查看了Manhattan语法，之前的第二句应该是独立主格中的 subgroup Modifier
类似的如：
Thismodel explains all known subatomic particles, SOME (OF THEM) only recentlydiscovered.   

能理解subgroup的话，我觉得这里逻辑上也符合

我又发现了一个句子，At the annual stockholders meeting, investors heard a presentation on the numerous challenges facing the company, among them the threat of a rival's multibillion-dollar patent-infringement suit and the decline in sales of the company's powerful microprocessor chip.（后面这个是一个倒装的独立主格），看上去并不像是修饰谓语动词heard，更像是解释说明challenges...不知道该如何理解
还有昨天你说的第三个句子，修饰核心动词declined，是说some 11,000 of them to be found in the lower 48 United States and Alaska伴随着declned这个动作吗？描述如何declined？

首先，还是语义的问题，这句话本身从逻辑上来讲，them就是指代planets,而不是astronomers，这个没问题。

但我还是认为这句话修饰属于独立主格，但是说实话有时候这两者之间界限非常模糊

如果没做题没有影响的话，我觉得只需要弄清楚修饰对象和作用就行了，如果有发现这种split在性质上会带来语义上的歧义的话，那可以继续研究一下...

"the stars are in motion..." 这是整个Sentence 的核心呀
第一句是some型的独立主格，at tremendous speed 是表一种状态

你说的名词短语作同位语应该是类似这样的，修饰的是名词，而不是整个句子的一个核心动作
Mr. Smith, our new teacher, is very kind to us.
比如这句，our new teacher 很明显是修饰这个人，和其他的核心动词没有任何关系，这就是你说的名词短语作同位语
