看来你是被og里的ambiguity给绕晕掉了哈。代词的两种指代是绝对正确的：
1.SVO, conj + pronoun，这里pronoun指代主句subject；
2.逻辑上不会有歧义，像这里be able to的主语只能是人，对不对？
满足任何一个规则我们都可以完全排除指代不清的问题，而E选项很好的同时遵循了这两个规则。

但是E.Scientists studying skeletons unearthed near Rome recovered DNA evidence from which they were able to deduce中 they的指代不会出现误解吗？比如说会理解成skeletons。

感觉看到being只要直接跟在名词或者clause后面那个选项直接就不看了。因为“只有不能去掉的being才是正确的 ...

感觉看到being只要直接跟在名词或者clause后面那个选项直接就不看了。因为“只有不能去掉的being才是正确的”用done分词结构修饰更为简洁，being done修饰是redundant

首先，C的this和D的it都是无指代，前面没有对应先行词，直接排除。
其次，this一般不单独出现，一般用this xxx
