但是第一句话有什么错误？OG说The participial phrase does not clearly modify book illustration，看不明白。and连接两个并列的谓语动词，我觉得没有错误呀。请大牛解释一下。


第二个问题：


global warming,a phenomenon that most scientists agree is caused by human beings’ burning of fossil fuels,…… 这里的that是不是引导一个同位语作为先行词的定语从句？

Beatrix Potter, in her book illustrations, carefully coordinated them with her narratives and capitalized on her keen observation and love of the natural world.  【in her book illustrations】是个插入语，主句里又出现了【coordinated them with her narratives 】，其中them显然是想指代【book illustrations】，此时【in her book illustrations】就有些不太好，因为修饰语在句子主干里，被修饰的东西却是个插入语，所以不太合适了。 或者换一个思路，我们去掉none essential modifier之后整个句子应该还可以stand alone，问题是在这个句子里，我们去掉【in her book illustrations】之后，them就无所指代了。
第二个是吧，语法不太懂。。不过这个表达看来是没错的
